New Arrivals Add to Retail, Dining Scene in Midtown

Each year approximately $540 Million in retail sales originate in Midtown – and that figure stands to grow steadily as the next wave of retail businesses enter Midtown’s growing market. 

Adding to Midtown's dining experience, at least six new restaurants have opened in Midtown in recent months:

- New Orleans style restaurant Bon Ton, 674 Myrtle St.

- Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine Pho King, 950 W. Peachtree St.

- Atlanta’s 3rd location, Dancing Goats Midtown33 Peachtree Pl.

- Newly relocated Joy Café,1100 Peachtree St.

- Custom craft sandwiches Whichwich, 915 W. Peachtree St.

In addition, new service offerings that recently opened their doors in Midtown include:

- Fitness group class solidcore, 33 Peachtree Pl.

- Salon Cherry Blow Dry Bar, 915 W. Peachtree St. 

 

Food Halls Springing Up Soon in Midtown

New, cutting edge food hall experiences are on the way to Midtown. What’s coming? 

The Canteen

What: A “micro food fall” offeringa casual community hub for Midtown residents, workers, and students.

Caravaca Market

What: European-inspired urban market featuring a bakery, café, wine shop, flower shop, and craft beer bar.
Where: Trace Midtown, Peachtree and 5th
When: Slated to open this summer 

And as Colony Square’s much-anticipated renovation begins this summer, the community is watching for potential news about a food hall experience that would dramatically change the existing food court. Stay tuned.

Tech-Driven Offerings Coming Soon

As more buildings continue to fill in Midtown’s skyline, the retail footprint continues to grow. The Midtown district will soon reach a milestone with a combined 1M SF of retail space, ushering in some uncommon business concepts that are unique to the area.

Slated to open later this year in Tech Square, Bytes Restaurant will be Midtown’s first “iPad-driven” restaurant. Considering its location in the heart of Midtown’s research sector, this tech driven establishment is sure to pique the interest of students and entrepreneurs alike.

Another first for Midtown: an indoor rock climbing gym. Stone Summit, a popular gym with two other locations in metro ATL, seeks to appeal to Midtown's tech community. The gym will soon be opening its doors inside the renovated 715 Peachtree office building at 3rd and Peachtree St, which is also welcoming a new Land of a Thousand Hills coffee shop and the Bareburger all-natural burger grill.
