Midtown Transportation

With four MARTA rail stations, incredible Interstate access, a growing number of bike lanes and other facilities and a connected grid of streets and sidewalks, Midtown’s transportation infrastructure makes getting to and around Midtown convenient, safe, and easy.  Midtown Alliance employs a multi-faceted approach to transportation and partners with the City of Atlanta, the Georgia Department of Transportation and others to implement projects that further improve upon Midtown's great transportation assets.    Our goal is to ensure that Midtown is accessible, easy to navigate, safe, and “green” for pedestrian, bikers, transit riders, and motorists alike.  

Transportation Projects

Our work includes designing and implementing transportation improvements through traffic signal management, additional traffic signals, crosswalk  improvements, wayfinding signage, new bike lanes, upgraded sidewalks, and traffic improvements such as additional turn-lanes, conversion of one-way streets to two-way operations, and intersection improvements.

Employer & Commuter Services 

Midtown Alliance also recognizes, that to maximize our mobility, reduce congestion, and improve air quality, enhancements to our transportation network must be coupled with programs that encourage people to walk, bike, take transit, carpool, and telecommute.   Our transportation team provides customized commute options services to over 200 Midtown employers and property managers and works directly with commuters to encourage the use of alternative transportation modes through promotions, incentives, and a suite of online tools and support programs.
