Bike to Work Week & National Bike Month 2024

Come join the festivities this May as we celebrate Bike to Work Week and National Bike Month! Midtown Transportation, Atlanta Cycling Festival, and our community partners have an exciting lineup of events planned throughout the week to encourage and support your pedal-powered commute! 

  • Bike Commuter Breakfast – Monday May 13th 7:30-9:30AM. Join Midtown Transportation for a drop in breakfast along the 10th Street Cycle Track at Charles Allen Dr, just outside of Piedmont Park. Start your day with free breakfast and your community of bicycle commuters!
  • Atlanta Cycling Festival – 2024 marks 10 years of amazing cycling adventures and ACF is going to make 2024 a blast! Get ready to ride May 11th-18th and stay up to date with all of this year's events.
  • GA Rides Challenge – May 5-19 May is National Bike Month – join Midtown Alliance and Georgia Commute Options by taking part in GA Rides, where you win prizes by riding your bike! Sign up at GARides.com – the challenge runs from May 5th-19th.

Bike-friendly Routes on Google Maps

You can use google maps to identify bike-friendly streets! On mobile, just click on the layers icon in the top right corner, and then click on “bicycling”. On a computer, hover over the layers icon in the bottom left corner, and then click on "biking" (you may need to click on "more" to see biking). Solid green lines indicate streets with separated bike lanes, while dotted green lines indicate bike-friendly roads without bike lanes.
