Ground-Floor Enhancements Partners ... Show us what you've got.

Consider applying if you're: a ground floor business, property owner or manager.

Inviting storefronts and vibrant ground-floor activations give people a reason to be out and about. They are also good for business. Simple upgrades aimed at enhancing the street-level experience include lush planters, public art, outdoor seating or patio dining. Façade enhancements can go a step further by replacing reflective or tinted glass with clear glass, adding awnings, blade signs, outdoor merchandise display, and walk-up windows for to-go orders. These elements boost curb appeal and attract new patrons. Do you already have specific enhancements in mind? Looking for inspiration?

Specifics You'll Need to Make Your Ground-Floor Enhancements Pitch:

1. Description of your proposed project

Provide proposed work scope along with illustrative to-scale drawings and/or photos. Indicate the project’s lead contact and contractor. The proposed scope of work must be visible from the sidewalk. Explain how this enhancement will improve the street-level experience in Midtown.

2. Proposed location

For ground floor enhancements: The property must be located within the boundaries of the Midtown Improvement District (MID) and the building must be under the applicant's control, as shown via documented ownership or lease agreement with the property owner.

3. Preliminary budget and proposed timeline

Indicate the total project budget needed to implement your proposal. Enhancement projects need to be in active City permitting within 6 calendar months.

4. Assistance your project will need

Indicate the type of assistance you're seeking from Midtown Alliance, such as inspiration, contracted design expertise, permitting and regulatory guidance, promotional support, introductions to other partners with synergistic interests, and seed funds.
