We're bringing art to the forefront of the community by featuring artists, makers, and entrepreneurs at the street level.

Midtown is a hub of visual and performing arts, anchored by world class museums, attractions, and cultural venues. Our mission is to amplify the creative experience in Midtown, making it an essential part of daily life and accessible to all. The best way to do that? Put artists at the center of that experience.

Learn More About Our Storefront Art Projects

We have been at work activating empty storefronts with temporary artwork that showcases an exciting range of our city’s talent. Some of these artists have established careers in Atlanta and nationwide. Others are fresh on the scene. All seven are new to Midtown. Meet them:

Where to See the Art

Spaces along Peachtree Street (between 5th and 10th Street), Peachtree Place, and on 10th Street have come alive in phases with vibrant murals, sculpture and video installations that first debuted in late-2020, and many are still on display this summer.

On view now:

  • 990 Peachtree Street (Atlanta History Center Midtown Campus adjacent to Savi) - works by Kaye Lee Patton and Fabian Williams
  • 999 Peachtree Street (999 Peachtree Building NW corner) - work by Kristan Woolford
  • 10 Tenth Street (near MARTA Midtown Station north entrance) - work by Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya

Watch our Sidewalk Talk Series

Sidewalk Talk moves past the typical boundaries of artist dialogues by providing space for artists to reflect on their humanity with respect to time and place. More specifically, this is a moment for artists to talk about their favorite Midtown memories — people, places, events — that have helped them mark time in Atlanta. The relationship of people to place brings relevance to this program and the commissioned works. We invite you to watch these full, bright, colorful, and creative conversations to meet the artists, see the spaces, and imagine where we can all go when we work together.
