Watch the pageantry as colorful floats, bands, bagpipe and drum corps, children's groups, Irish dancers, and animals walk down Atlanta's signature street. And for the novelty of the experience, you won't want to miss the Big Idaho® Potato, which weighs 4+ tons!

The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade is a family-friendly Atlanta tradition. The annual parade is one of the oldest of its kind in the U.S. and is the longest running event in Atlanta’s history. Started in 1858 by the Hibernian Benevolent Society, the parade celebrates the city’s Irish culture and history.

2024 marks the parade’s 140th edition, presented by Irish Network Atlanta, whose mission is to bolster business opportunities and economic development between the U.S. and Ireland.

The parade begins at noon at the intersection of Peachtree and 15th Streets, and will run down to 5th Street, concluding at 1:30pm. Monica Pearson - the first woman and first minority to anchor the daily evening news in Atlanta - will serve as Grand Marshal.

Parade attendees are encouraged to take MARTA. Both Arts Center and Midtown MARTA stops provide easy access to the parade route. In addition to MARTA there is convenient parking near the entire parade route.
