The mission of the Atlanta Santa Speedo Run is to raise funds for those less fortunate through the support of local charitable service organizations while providing a fun, non-competitive athletic event that brings people together to celebrate their community. Since 2009, the Atlanta Santa Speedo Run has raised money for a variety of local children’s charities. In 2017, it became aligned with a single cause, Bert’s Big Adventure. To date, the Atlanta Santa Speedo Run has raised more than $320,000 for Bert’s Big Adventure, and nearly $800,000 for Atlanta-area charities.
This baring-all 1-mile fun run and event benefiting Bert’s Big Adventure is modeled after an event that began in Boston in 2000. While Speedos and Santa hats are welcome, as is any spirited costume that really rings in the season, they are not required.
​​​​Our check-in and pre-party begin at noon and include a live DJ, cash bar, a costume contest, and activities for those 21 and up. At 2:00 pm we jingle and jangle down the streets of midtown for a 1-mile fun run followed by an afterparty where winners are announced and awarded prizes!
