Join us at the Peachtree Branch Library at 12 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for a lively discussion of books that explore how design shapes our world. Hosted by MODA and the library, conversations are led by MODA staff or guest experts. If you like, bring your lunch (no red beverages, please) and discover new perspectives on design, architecture, and creativity.

This month, we invite you to explore Eileen Gray: A House Under the Sun by Malterre-Barthes, Charlotte. This beautifully illustrated book examines the life and work of pioneering designer and architect Eileen Gray, focusing on her iconic seaside villa, E-1027. Through photographs, drawings, and historical insights, the book reveals Gray’s innovative approach to modern living, her groundbreaking contributions to architecture and furniture design, and the enduring influence of her vision. It offers a fascinating look at the relationship between design, place, and everyday life.

This book can be borrowed through Fulton County library system or purchased in MODA’s Design Shop.

No registration is necessary. Just read the book and join us for a discussion!
