Join us at the Peachtree Branch Library at 12 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for a lively discussion of books that explore how design shapes our world. Hosted by MODA and the library, conversations are led by MODA staff or guest experts. If you like, bring your lunch (no red beverages, please) and dive into fresh perspectives on design!
In November, we’ll explore The Secret Lives of Color by Kassia St. Clair, a fascinating collection of stories about the history, culture, and meaning of colors. From the scandal of “Mummy Brown” to the rarity of ultramarine, St. Clair reveals how shades have shaped art, fashion, politics, and everyday life—offering plenty of colorful inspiration for discussion.
This book can be borrowed from the library or purchased in MODA’s Design Shop (arriving by September 1, 2025).
