Join us at the Peachtree Branch Library at 12 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for a lively discussion of books that explore how design shapes our world. Hosted by MODA and the library, conversations are led by MODA staff or guest experts. If you like, bring your lunch (no red beverages, please) and dive into fresh perspectives on design!

This month, we invite you to explore Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky. Kurlansky traces salt’s profound influence on economies, politics, technology, cuisine, and culture across centuries and continents, blending historical research with vivid anecdotes to show how this simple mineral shaped civilizations and design choices from trade routes to food preservation.

This book can be borrowed through Fulton County library system or purchased in MODA’s Design Shop.

No registration is necessary. Just read the book and join us for a discussion!
