Join MODA for a virtual studio and illustrate an original space creature!
In this virtual studio, young designers will explore how digital artists create fantasy creatures through shape, color, texture, and lighting. Students will invent their own extraterrestrial life form using Medibang Paint Pro. They’ll think about detailed skin patterns, glowing markings, unusual anatomy, and dramatic lighting effects that bring their creature to life. They will consider how the creature’s appearance reflects its environment and behavior. At the end of the studio, students can share their work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
In this Afterschool Studio, we’ll:
- Study how shape, texture, and lighting communicate personality and environment
- Design an original alien creature with unique anatomical features.
- Use MediBang Paint Pro to create a polished digital illustration
- Practice digital painting techniques for textures, glowing effects, and depth
- Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback
- Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking
