Be the first to experience the Center for Puppetry Arts’ newest exhibition, Frame by Frame: The Art of Stop Motion Animation. This dynamic exhibition explores how stop motion combines puppets, scenery, human hands, and patience to bring still artwork to life.

The evening features screenings of two acclaimed stop-motion short films, followed by an engaging conversation with contemporary artists shaping the field today. Exhibition curatorial advisor Emily D. Myers (Pinocchio, Boxtrolls) will share her perspective on the artistry behind the medium. Filmmakers Andrés Eduardo and Michael Granberry will present their works, Con Fuerza and Les Bêtes (Winner, Jury Prize, Best Short Film –Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2025) and will offer insight into their creative processes and professional journeys.

The program concludes with a moderated discussion led by animator and stop-motion historian Mikael Trench (Triclops Films), inviting audiences to explore the precision, patience, and storytelling that bring each frame to life while deepening appreciation for both the exhibition and the art form itself.
