Join MODA for a virtual studio to design promotional materials for a mysterious October attraction!

In this virtual studio, young designers will explore how admission tickets, wristbands, and promotional materials help create excitement before visitors even step inside an event. Students will invent their own strange roadside attraction, mysterious museum, or oddities exhibit that only appears during October. Using Canva, they will use themed colors, custom graphics, typography, and decorative patterns that capture the personality of their attraction. At the end of the studio, students can share their work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

In this Afterschool Studio, we’ll:

Explore how designers create themed event branding

Invent an original October attraction with a unique story and visual identity

Use Canva to design promotional materials

Practice layout, typography, color, and decorative graphic design

Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback

Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking
