The Midtown Garden Stroll is an annual free event, open to everyone, and takes place throughout Midtown’s Historic Garden District. The stroll is an outdoor self-guided tour, providing a rare opportunity to experience some of Midtown’s most impressive private garden spaces. Guests can expect to see formal gardens, casual gardens, planter concepts, small urban farms, fountains, espalier, backyard beekeeping, intricate brickwork, and inspiring ideas for beautiful, fully functional family yards.
Guests may obtain a map of participating homes one-week prior to the event at MidtownAtlanta.org and on Midtown Neighbors’ Association social media channels, or pick up a complimentary printed copy on May 19 at our Garden Stroll Headquarters. Homes are clearly marked with signs indicating their participation, and homeowners will often be on hand to share their gardening secrets and answer questions about their yard.
Be sure to make time to enjoy the Garden Stroll Market at Penn Avenue & 6th Street where a well curated collection of local artisans will showcase their creations from artwork to pottery to jewelry and more. Floral arrangements and potted plants are popular keepsakes to remember the beautiful day. This year, we will host a live band, tasty bites, and drinks to enjoy under the canopy of oak trees on Penn Avenue. One of the best days in Midtown all year!
