Sensory-Friendly Sunday featuring Pete the Cat

Guests with sensory sensitivities (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder) and other developmental differences are invited to see Pete the Cat and enjoy the Center for Puppetry Arts in a fun, comfortable and welcoming environment.

Sensory-friendly modifications are made to performances and Center as a whole including:

During the show, sounds are low and consistent. Guests can respond and leave their seats and enjoy their quiet, contained beverage and snack.

Lighting is adjusted in the theater, museum, and Create-A-Puppet Workshop™. The Museum will integrate fun activities like touch tables and guided storytelling.

The sensory-friendly Create-A-Puppet Workshop™ classroom will be quieter, feature more table space to create and decorate, and have fidget toys and gloves for those who may have touch needs or sensitivities.
