Three Midtown Alliance Team Members Applauded for Excellence in Action

Midtown Alliance recognized three team members for their excellent work at the Q4 Public Safety Meeting, held December 6, 2024. The coordination meeting is attended by public safety agency partners who work together to keep Midtown and the City safe.

Recognized by Midtown Alliance Director of Public Safety Marcus Neville at the meeting with an award and a round of applause, each of these team members has gone above and beyond in their daily work to advance the district's goals for an exceptional place where people feel welcome.

APD Officer Dwayne DeJonge, Midtown Blue

Ofc. DeJonge goes above and beyond working for Midtown Blue, proactively engaging with homeless people who need services, deterring crime by patrolling Midtown's higher crime locations and supporting the Midtown Blue team of Public Safety Officers, making him a standout contributor.

Kelly McClendon, Midtown Blue

Kelly does a great job communicating with the public, taking calls for service, and monitoring the team’s activity, ensuring they stay safe. Has become instrumental in the different events that Midtown Blue participates in during the year.

Jay Parker, Midtown Green

Jay is an invaluable member of Midtown Green. He currently serves as the shift lead for the evening crew and works on all the projects that the team undertakes during the evening/weekend shift. Jay works extra time when needed and shows an ownership of his work in the Midtown Improvement District, making him very effective at his role.
