10th Street Park Enhancements

Project Category: All Projects Parks + Plazas

Updated 01/05/2023

Midtown Alliance leases the open space at the northeast corner of 10th and Peachtree Streets from Dewberry Capital for $1 per year. It serves as a centrally located pocket park for the community and offers games, passive recreation, seating and a temporary sculpture on the corner.

The sculpture, Conversation Peace, is an interpretation of the game Rock-Paper-Scissors by artist Kevin Box. It was placed in the park on November 12, 2021. In addition, Midtown artist-in-residence Jasmine Nicole Williams completed a new mural on the south face of the vacant retail building that sits at the north edge of the park.

Construction was completed in late 2022 to refresh the park space and create a series of 3 outdoor rooms for different uses including a fenced dog park, play area and activity zone for lawn games, as seen in this photo:

Budget: $350K
100% funded by the Midtown Improvement District
