Biketober 2024 - Take a ride. Win prizes. Starts October 1st! 

It’s time to gear up for the region’s annual Biketober challenge! Biketober is a fun competition that encourages all metro Atlantans to experience the joy of riding a bike.

The challenge kicks off on October 1 and continues all month with weekly prize giveaways, friendly competition and the chance to win an e-bike from Outback Bicycles. 

Take part as an individual, with your co-workers, on a social team, or all three!

Bike to Work Week & National Bike Month 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us in May as we celebrated Bike to Work Week and National Bike Month in 2024! Midtown Transportation, Atlanta Cycling Festival, and our community partners had an exciting lineup of events planned throughout the week to encourage and support your pedal-powered commute! 

  • Bike Commuter Breakfast CANCELED due to weather Monday May 13th 7:30-9:30AM. Join Midtown Transportation for a drop in breakfast along the 10th Street Cycle Track at Charles Allen Dr, just outside of Piedmont Park. Start your day with free breakfast and your community of bicycle commuters!
  • Community Bike Tune Up - Wednesday May 15th 4:30-6:30PM. Stop by the 217 17th Street building for a complimentary bike safety check and basic tune up from a pro mechanic! Meet at the corner of District Ave and 17 1/2 St. 
  • Atlanta Cycling Festival – 2024 marks 10 years of amazing cycling adventures and ACF is going to make 2024 a blast! Get ready to ride May 11th-18th and stay up to date with all of this year's events.
  • GA Rides Challenge – May is National Bike Month – join Midtown Alliance and Georgia Commute Options by taking part in GA Rides, where you win prizes by riding your bike! Sign up at GARides.com – the challenge runs from May 5th-19th.
