Atlanta Streets Alive In Pictures

10/05/2023

BY GABI RAMIREZ

If a picture is worth a thousand words, these are an entire story. A story of people making memories together along Midtown's largest public space: the street.

After going dark for a few years, Atlanta Streets Alive made its return on September 24 and attracted tens of thousands of visitors. These photos are just a few of our favorites from the event.

The good news? We get to do it all over again in October. And here are a couple of quick things to know:

Did you attend Atlanta Streets Alive on September 24? ATLDOT would like your feedback to continue improving this event series. Take their brief survey to share your experience (ahem, there's an option to suggest doing it more frequently, ahem): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AtlantaStreetsAlive

Be sure to check out the next one on October 22 ... and when you're in Midtown, look for fun ties to Halloween, including trick-or-treat stations at local businesses along the route to score candy and encouraging people to wear their Halloween costumes.

Thank you to the Atlanta Department of Transportation for organizing the return of Atlanta Streets Alive. We know behind the scenes that this effort involved many different agencies from public safety to public works and countless City staffers. And thanks also to the many citizen volunteers who gave their time to make it go smoothly. Bravo!
