The Fox’s nextdoor neighbor offers delicious pub fare that doubles as kid-friendly, such as fries, wings and their signature PDH Smash Burger. Check the chalkboard by the bar for their rotating taps, or try something off the cocktail menu, which ranges from familiar favorites like a Pimm’s cup to the Mysterious Tiki Punch.

This southern European restaurant has a seasonal menu that is vegetable-forward and focused on pasta — don’t miss the crispy duck lasagna with cocoa béchamel, parmigiano and carrot-coriander puree. Lyla Lila is a perfect date night spot with mood lighting inside and sidewalk dining with views of the Fox Theatre’s marquee. Reservations recommended.

New to the Midtown scene, El Viñedo Local is a tapas restaurant with South American dishes such as empanadas, arepas, ceviche and sandwiches served with yucca fries. Enjoy an espresso or a glass of wine (also primarily South American) on their swanky patio overlooking Peachtree Street.

An elegant Caribbean eatery set in a renovated 1907 firehouse with ample patio space that has a date night vibe, but is also family friendly. Signature dishes include the oxtails and escovitch snapper fish, and try the Hibiscus Margarita to feel like you’re on island time. If you’re catching a matinee showing of Hamilton, head to Negril Village beforehand for a spectacular brunch with a menu that includes spicy grilled chicken with a pineapple Waffle House blend syrup and sweet cream butter.

A carefully crafted plant-based restaurant that aims to please vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The pan-Asian menu items are meant to be shared, and include favorites such as steamed “duck” buns, crispy king oyster mushrooms and bibimbap with vegetables and gochujang. This restaurant accepts reservations.

6. Edgar’s Proof & Provision

Follow the Georgian Terrace’s marble staircase down to a speakeasy offering barrel-aged drinks, bar bites, and on occasion, live music. Proof & Provision is a favorite for Fox Theatre patrons that doesn’t take reservations, but the ambience alone is worth looking for an open spot at the bar.

In this renovated old house on Juniper Street, you’ll find authentic Thai curries, noodle and rice dishes made from scratch and inspired by the owner’s family recipes. Sip a craft cocktail or a Thai beer on the patio and choose four appetizers to share among friends with the 26 Thai platter — and make sure to save room for the crispy chicken and garlic ginger rice served in a pineapple boat! The menu also offers plenty of vegetarian-friendly options.

Shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and an Irish breakfast are all a given on Fado’s menu (and they’re all delicious), but there’s something for the whole family, including sandwiches, burgers and a legendary big soft pretzel. Patio space lines the side and front of the pub, which is one of the city’s top gathering spots to watch soccer matches on TV. Don’t be surprised if you see a few fans in their favorite team’s kit grabbing a pint at the bar!

This seasonal, vegetable-forward menu would make St. Lawrence, the restaurant’s namesake and the patron saint of chefs, proud. And the cocktails at The Lawrence might be among the best in Midtown — we like the “Trois” with green tea and mint gin, lemon, egg white and rose water. Reservations are available for inside tables at dinner, walk-ins are accepted for patio tables and brunch.

Stay alert through every scene in Hamilton with a latte, cappuccino or espresso from this beloved coffee spot, located right next to the Midtown MARTA Station. Dancing Goats also offers tea, pastries and Arden’s Gardens juices, which you can enjoy on its patio or on your walk to the theatre.

A favorite neighborhood haunt with a shaded patio and a large tap selection. Plenty of shareable options like fried brussels, hummus, sweet potato nachos, salmon ceviche and more. You can’t go wrong with their classic Cypress burger, or take a leap with their Krispy Kreme or Pickleback burgers!

If you’re looking to grab something light and healthy before an evening at the Fox, look no further than this superfood café tucked away on Juniper Street. It offers juices, smoothies, wraps, acai bowls, avocado toasts, salads and more.

This combination restaurant-candy store is trendy and ultra-Instagrammable. The walls are lined with portraits of the many celebrities who have endorsed it, the smoking goblet cocktails are adorned with candy necklaces and lollipops, and even the sliders come on rainbow buns alongside their rubber duck mascot. Their “insane milkshakes” are a work of art, and also the ultimate sugar rush.
